STAMFORD - State employees are speaking out about budget cuts that could close down a state office in Stamford.

Employees from the Department of Social Services met on Bedford Street yesterday.

They say they are planning to vote yes on an upcoming ballot that would save the Stamford branch.

One union member says if the unions don't approve the deal with Governor Malloy, Social Services will move to Bridgeport.

Union members are expected to finish voting on the concessions deal by next Thursday.
