State GOP unveils budget plan

State Republicans have unveiled today a budget plan that includes no tax increases.Under the proposed plan, the state?s workforce will be slashed by 5 percent.

HARTFORD - State Republicans have unveiled today a budget plan that includes no tax increases.

Under the proposed plan, the state?s workforce will be slashed by 5 percent.

The leaders of the General Assembly's minority say their proposal is a "fiscally and socially responsible" alternative to Gov. Dannel Malloy's budget (D-Conn.)

Democrats are expected to present a revised version of the governor?s proposed budget in the next few days.
