State police prep for holiday weekend with new technology

State police have equipped themselves with two new pieces of technology to help enforce laws for the Fourth of July weekend.Sgt. John Netkovic says officers

NORWALK - State police have equipped themselves with two new pieces of technology to help enforce laws for the Fourth of July weekend.

Sgt. John Netkovic says officers now have e-ticketing machines that will help speed up the time in processing tickets.

Lt. Paul Vance says that officers will also be using new Breathalyzers, which he says provides a better screening for the presence of alcohol.

State police say they?ve already beefed up patrols on the roads.
