State Supreme Court to hear education funding appeal

HARTFORD - The state Supreme Court has agreed to take on an appeal of a lower court ruling on the way the legislature funds public schools.

A superior court judge ruled the current formula is unconstitutional and puts poorer school districts at a disadvantage.

The court did not set a date for the hearing.
