HARTFORD - State officials plan to ask for federal funds to cover costs from this month's blizzard.

Local communities can choose a 48-hour window, during which FEMA will reimburse up to 75 percent of snow cleanup costs.

However, officials say the state should get more money given the enormity of the storm.
