SOUTHWESTERN CONNECTICUT - The state says it has started its annual monitoring of mosquitoes.

The Mosquito Management Program keeps track of harmful viruses including West Nile and Eastern Equine Encephalitis.

Officials say the first set of test results will be available next week.
