NEW CANAAN - Residents across the area are hitting the stores this weekend to finish up their holiday shopping.

Store owners are hoping to cash in big, and the warm weather may help.

"It being almost 60 degrees is a draw for the day," says store owner Sheila Grow.

Grow says she has been busy all day. She says the shopping season is shorter than last year, so it's been more hectic this season and people are feeling panicked.

Local retailers hope that the balmy weather will help end the season on a high note.
