HARTFORD - State officials have opened part of the state's Emergency Operations Center in Hartford because of this Friday's storm.

CL&P and U.I. say they're working with local officials and utility companies to respond to downed trees and hope to restore power tonight.

Officials want to remind people to stay away from any power lines that fall.
