STRATFORD - Several dogs seized in what police call an animal cruelty case in Stratford now have new homes.
On Tuesday, the Stratford Animal Rescue Society held an event to give the animals up for adoption.
Employees at the shelter say they have never seen the shelter so busy. They say that as the night wore on, they saw more of the word "adopted" on the animal's informational boards.
As News 12 reported, police say they found nearly 30 dogs packed in crates in a hot trailer last week.
Employees say that so far, nearly half of the dogs have been adopted.
