STRATFORD - Stratford residents are picking up the pieces after yesterday's tornado caused widespread damage.

Crews are taking chainsaws to large tree trunks, cleaning up in the Lordship section of the town where the damage was most severe. One tree was completely uprooted, landing on the side of a Lordship home and piercing the porch windows.

Mayor John Harkins says he hopes that power will be fully restored by the end of the weekend.
