FAIRFIELD - Police have arrested a Stratford man who allegedly broke into his ex-girlfriend?s Fairfield home, kidnapped her and threatened to kill her.

According to police, John Bajda, 29, broke into his ex-girlfriend?s home and hid in her closet. When she came home, they say he went after her with a kitchen knife and then dragged her by her hair out to his car. Bajda allegedly told the victim he was going to take her to a wooded area and kill her, before she managed to escape from the car and get help.

Bajda is currently being held on $500,000 bond and is due in court tomorrow.
