STRATFORD - Stratford may soon get custody of 13 dogs seized from a dog breeder in town who was charged with animal cruelty.

Dawn Marie Pierger was arrested in December after police say they found the dogs living in horrible conditions at her home.

A veterinarian asked a judge in court yesterday to allow the town to take custody of the dogs rather than return them to Pierger.
