STRATFORD - A Stratford native has been invited to participate in a new college baseball tradition.

Dan Paolini, who graduated from Bunnell High School and now plays second base for Siena College, will step up to the plate at the inaugural College Home Run Derby.

Eight sluggers from around the country will compete to see who can hit the most home runs.

The event will air on CBS July 11.
