Stratford school locked down after gun report

STRATFORD - Wooster Middle School in Stratford was locked down this afternoon after reports of people near the school with guns.

Police identified four teens that had two pellet rifles in the nearby woods, according to officials. The rifles are illegal in Stratford.

Police say the teens did not intend to harm anyone at the school and had intended to play around in the woods.

The school has since been released from lockdown, and students were sent home for the day. The incident remains under investigation.
