STRATFORD - Some Stratford students received a special shopping spree today as part of Target’s annual Heroes and Helpers program.

The 25 children, led by members of the Stratford Police Department, were each given a $100 gift card for holiday shopping throughout a local Target.

Target selected Stratford for a $2,500 grant in its nationwide effort to pair public safety officials with community youth. Its goal is to help children in need buy holiday gifts while developing relationships with local law enforcement.
