STRATFORD - Stratford police are looking for whoever put acid on more than a dozen cars.

Police say it happened in the area of Paradise Green and the cars appear to have been selected randomly.

They say a foamy acid-based substance stripped the paint right off the vehicles down to the metal.

The owner of Town Body Shop says the damage could end up costing motorists several thousands of dollars in repairs.

In order to prevent more vandalism from occurring, police say they've beefed up local patrols. Investigators are urging anyone with information to contact them.
