STAMFORD - Some high school students took part in the Top Chef Cooking Competition at the Inspirica Homeless Center in Stamford this weekend.

They were challenged to create a culinary masterpiece using items collected from food drives and pantries.

People who use the shelter judged the competition, rating the food on taste, creativity and nutrition.

The cooking competition was sponsored by BuildOn, a community service program at Westhill and Stamford high schools.
