NORWALK - Starting today, Sen. Richard Blumenthal says some kids who would otherwise go hungry will now get a free lunch for the rest of the summer.

It's all part of a new federally funded summer breakfast and lunch program for students in Connecticut.

He says those kids need to fuel their bodies in order to learn and play.

Sen. Blumenthal says the meals will be available in most districts to students in summer school or camps.
