NORWALK - About a dozen people honored a Norwalk Land Trust member this morning with a surprise ceremony outside of his home.

The group unveiled a plaque for retired city planner Roger Wilcox, thanking him for his service to protect the ecology of Village Creek.

Wilcox said one of his proudest accomplishments as a member of the Land Trust was the inclusion of all races and creeds before it was fashionable to do so.
