STAMFORD - Stamford police say surveillance video led to an arrest in a burglary at a local deli.

Police say they arrested the suspect, 54-year-old Gary Feighery, this morning at his home. The arrest was made after a previous employer identified him.

Feighery is charged with robbing the Taste of Poland Deli on Newfield Avenue late last month.

Authorities say Feighery is the man who broke into the deli on Sept. 24 and ransacked two cash registers. Feighery only made off with a small amount of money.

“With the deli surveillance camera being as good as it was, picking up some great footage, and then again help from News 12 and other venues, it really helped us develop a suspect and move quickly to get a warrant obtained,” says Sgt. Sean Scanlan.

Police say Feighery has prior arrests for burglary and domestic violence. He is being held on $75,000.
