Suspect hospitalized after police chase

BRIDGEPORT - ? Police say a man was injured after leading police on chase through several Connecticut communities.

Police say the chase began at approximately 2:30 a.m. Wednesday on Bridgeport?s east side when an officer noticed a driver slam into another vehicle, then take off. The chase ran all the way up to West Haven, then back down to Milford and finally ended when the suspect crashed on Brewster Street in Bridgeport.

Bridgeport and Milford police say they worked together to catch the suspect, who is hospitalized with unknown injuries. Charges are pending.
