Suspect in Bridgeport stabbing heads to court

BRIDGEPORT - A Bridgeport man is headed to court today after police say he stabbed his best friend to death.

Police say Bjorn Williams, 23, got into an argument last night with Travis Brown, 22, at the corner of Newfield Avenue and Adams Street.

They say Williams allegedly stabbed Brown once in his chest.

Witnesses say Brown collapsed on a sidewalk and Williams ran away only to be caught later by police.

Brown is Bridgeport's 14th homicide victim this year.
