Suspect in Westport jeweler murder arrested in Spain

WESTPORT - Authorities have arrested a man believed to have shot and killed a Westport jewelry store owner last month. The suspect, Andrew Robert Levene, was arrested yesterday in Spain. Investigators say he flew to the United States from Spain on Dec. 5, killed Yekutiel Zeevi in YZ Jewelers on Dec. 8 and three days later, fled the country with $300,000 in stolen diamonds. The victim?s family members and friends say they are relieved by the arrest, but add that they are still in shock over Zeevi's death. The arrest warrant details the contact Levene and Zeevi had prior to the murder.
