STRATFORD - Stratford police are investigating an accident that left one man dead last night.

Investigators say an SUV crashed through two fences and careened into a home's yard on Mount Carmel Boulevard at around 9 p.m.

Police have identified the victim as Marcello Mastroianni. Sources tell News 12 Connecticut that the he was a 47-year-old father who worked at a nearby UPS distribution facility.Police say they're still trying to determine how Mastroianni lost control of his vehicle.
