STAMFORD - Health officials say swimming is back open today at two Stamford beaches.

Officials had prohibited swimming at Cummings Park Beach and West Beach after they found raw sewage in a pond flowing into the waters.

One lifeguard says it was tough turning people away, especially during the heat wave.
