Swine flu task force meets in Westport

WESTPORT - A swine flu task force met in Westport Tuesday to discuss ways to prevent another outbreak of the H1N1 virus in the fall.

Health, school and town officials from Westport, Weston and Wilton attended the meeting. The leaders discussed the latest numbers of swine flu cases and reviewed recommendations from the CDC.

The task force also decided against requiring students in southwestern Connecticut to wear masks when they head back to school in September.

Weston Health Director Mark Cooper says residents should know that the cases of swine flu are currently sporadic, and that the strain is mild.
