Teacher accused of making boy eat from trash

BRIDGEPORT - A teacher at Park City Magnate School in Bridgeport allegedly made a 5-year-old boy eat an unpeeled banana from a garbage can.

Anne O?Donnell, 67, is facing risk of injury to a minor charges after allegedly giving a discarded, unpeeled banana to a student who had not eaten his lunch. According to school superintendent Dr. Henry Ramos, she was released on a promise to appear in court.

?We regret that this happened, obviously,? said Ramos.

School officials say the child?s mother reported the incident and requested that her son be moved to another class, which he was. The incident is still under investigation.
