STAMFORD - A teenage chef from Stamford recently won a distinctive honor on the Food Network.

Hunter Zampa, 13, became the youngest winner of the cooking competition show "Chopped" last month.

Zampa, who's been cooking since he was 6 years old, has been featured on other major cooking shows on the network, including “Rachael vs. Guy: Kids Cook-Off.”

Zampa says he's self-taught, teaching himself through reading cookbooks and watching cooking shows. He's currently working on his own cookbook and says he'd like to have his own cooking show.
