A teen arrested on weapons charges stemming from the murder of a Norwalk teen claims he was best friends with the victim.Joseph Bateman was arrested

NORWALK - A teen arrested on weapons charges stemming from the murder of a Norwalk teen claims he was best friends with the victim.

Joseph Bateman was arrested after police say they found a gun in his car at the scene where Amos Brown Jr. was killed last Friday.

He appeared in court yesterday to face the charge.

Police say they do not believe Bateman's gun was the one that killed Brown.
