Teen injured in hit-and-run

DARIEN - Police are looking for a car allegedly involved in a hit-and-run accident that severely injured a 15-year-old boy Saturday.

Officials say the boy was struck from behind at around 2:30 p.m. on Hoyt Street near St. John?s Cemetery.

The teenager suffered severe head injuries from the accident and was taken to the hospital and placed in the intensive care unit.

Witnesses told police the car was a silver or gray Toyota Camry. Police also believe the car may have noticeable damage to the front and right side.
