Teen struck by 2 cars while crossing intersection

NORWALK - A 17-year-old is clinging to life at Norwalk Hospital today after he was hit by two cars while crossing a busy intersection.

Police say George Plaus was struck twice as he tried crossing the intersection of Main Avenue and Grist Mill Road in Norwalk at around 11 p.m. last night.

According to police, Plaus had alcohol in his system at the time of the accident.

Plaus suffered life-threatening head injuries and was immediately taken to Norwalk Hospital.

His family tells News 12 Connecticut that Plaus moved from Ecuador two months ago.
