Teenager shot in leg in Norwalk

NORWALK - Police say a Norwalk teenager was shot after a gunman opened fire at an apartment complex.

The shooting happened Saturday night at Roodner Court on Ely Avenue. Police say that when they arrived at the scene, a 17-year-old male teenager was lying on the ground in front of building number 14 of the complex. The gunman fled before police arrived.

?[There?s] a lot of loitering in front of the building,? says Chanel Angione, a resident of building 14. ?There are a lot of kids out here that don't even live here. It's ridiculous, it's out of control.?

Police are still searching for the suspect.
