BRIDGEPORT - Emotions ran high today in a Bridgeport courtroom as the trial for a man accused of killing a couple in its Fairfield jewelry store six years ago entered its second day.

Christopher DiMeo is accused of shooting Tim and Kim Donnelly and then stealing jewelry from their store. DiMeo has already been convicted of another murder and is serving a life sentence in New York State.

Today, the jury was able to hear the statement DiMeo allegedly made to police after his arrest. The statement, read by the court clerk, totaled 12 pages. Photos were also released that showed the inside of the jewelry story the night of the murder.

Testimony will resume on Monday.
