Fairfield police are searching for thieves who made off with copper stripped from what was left of a home on Warner Hill Road in Southport.A

FAIRFIELD - Fairfield police are searching for thieves who made off with copper stripped from what was left of a home on Warner Hill Road in Southport.

A fire at the home caused $1.5 million in damages last week.

Police say just days after the blaze, someone snatched copper from the site.

Fairfield police are asking anyone who might have seen suspicious activity in the area to call them at 203-255-3554.
