Westport police say an officer tried to pull over Thomas Patterson for speeding just after midnight Friday.

WESTPORT - Westport police say a Weston man is facing charges after leading them on a high speed chase.

Police say an officer tried to pull over Thomas Patterson, 41, of Weston, for speeding just after midnight Friday.

They say he drove down a dead end road, then got out of the car and ran through a backyard.

Police say they had to use a Taser on Patterson and he refused to take a Breathalyzer test.
