Thousands attend funeral for Bridgeport bishop

Thousands gathered in Bridgeport today to bid their final farewells to a popular religious leader.Funeral services began at 10 a.m. at the Arena at Harbor

BRIDGEPORT - Thousands gathered in Bridgeport today to bid their final farewells to a popular religious leader.

Funeral services began at 10 a.m. at the Arena at Harbor Yard for Bishop Kenneth Moales, who died of a heart attack last week.

Moales founded the Park City's Cathedral of the Holy Spirit under a different name in 1969. He is survived by his wife, three children, twelve grandchildren and one great-grand child.

Moales died last Monday after suffering a heart attack.
