GREENWICH - At least 9,000 people in Greenwich were without power today after a tree took out transmission lines in the Cos Cob section of town.The tree fell on lines near the Metro-North tracks at Summitt Road in the Riverside section of town.

CL&P reported that it is wrapping up its Greenwich restoration of more than 30,000 customers who were affected by the outage. Metro-North service was affected by the outages for most of the day, but the railroad?s schedule has since returned to normal.
