Thousands push for safer gun reforms at state Capitol

More than 5,500 people rallied for gun reform today on the two month anniversary of the Sandy Hook shooting. (2/14/13)

HARTFORD - Thousands of people gathered on the steps of the state Capitol in Hartford today to rally for gun control reform.

More than 5,500 protesters attended the event, which was held on the two-month anniversary of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. Organizers say they were only expecting a crowd of about 2,000.

Jillian Soto, the sister of slain teacher Victoria Soto, spoke at the rally and says she doesn't want to eliminate guns, just wants to see common-sense gun regulations.
