STRATFORD - Stratford parents are frustrated with school officials after threats were made against Flood Middle School.

Stratford School District says students noticed a shooting threat in an online chat Sunday on

A letter was sent home to parents Monday telling them that anonymous messages were posted online. The letter said that police do not believe the threat is credible.

Some parents say they are frustrated that officials waited until after the school day started to notify them about the threat. They say they should be warned the second any possible threat is made against the school.

The superintendent says that alerts weren't immediately sent out because no credible threats were made and there was no mention of the school's name.
