TRUMBULL - Police say the 18-month-old boy who was pulled out of the Pequonnock River today is in critical condition at Bridgeport Hospital.

Rescue crews were at Beardsley Park in Bridgeport scouring the waters for the toddler after he fell into the water behind his home on Lindberg Drive in Trumbull at around 11 a.m.

Police say a crew from the city's Water Pollution Control Authority found the boy near Bunnell's Pond, half a mile from his house.
