GREENWICH - Tom Foley is hoping to be on top tonight in the Republican gubernatorial primary.

He is facing off against John McKinney.

He previously won the primary four years ago, only to lose a very close election to Dan Malloy that November.

Foley, who has focused on economic issues in his campaign, says he wants to hold discretionary spending flat for two years, and after that to lower taxes for the state's low-income families.

Polls are open across the state until 8 p.m.
