NEW YORK - Potential Connecticut Republican gubernatorial candidate Tom Foley is running a television advertisement in New York City.

The ads take aim at the city's newly elected Democratic mayor Bill de Blasio, as well as Gov. Dannel Malloy but do not mention Malloy by name.

The 30-second spot started running on New York stations yesterday.

Foley tells New Yorkers to wait until 2014, when Connecticut will "probably elect a new governor."
