Investigators say Kayla Mooney, 25, complained to school officials that she was being harassed by the girlfriend of the boy she allegedly assaulted.

DANBURY - The trial began Tuesday for a teacher from Danbury accused of having sex with a student.

Police arrested 25-year-old Kayla Mooney in March.

Investigators say Mooney complained to school officials that she was being harassed by the girlfriend of the boy she allegedly assaulted.

They say the boy then told them about the relationship.
