STAMFORD - A trial is set to begin this Wednesday in the alleged police brutality lawsuit involving Stamford police officers.

Santos Morales was arrested for carrying a gun at a restaurant in 2008.

Morales claims he wrestled the weapon from another man and dropped it when ordered by police, but was shot with a Taser and kicked anyway.

At the time, police told News 12 Connecticut that Morales dropped the weapon, but then reached into his pocket and officers feared he was getting another one.
