NORWALK - Two men were in court today in connection with a Norwalk gas station robbery on the corner of Main and Cross streets Thursday night.

Tyler Singewald and Miguel Velez were both arraigned today. Police say that Velez stayed in the car while Singewald walked into the store with a capgun and demanded money.

The attorney representing Singewald says that he will not plead guilty, and alleges the police investigation and interrogation were not handled properly.

Police say this wasn't the first time the gas station was targeted, but add that crimes such as this are unusual in the area.

Authorities say they found the toy gun nearby and both suspects will be back in court later this month.
