STAMFORD - Fans across Connecticut are celebrating after the University of Connecticut men's basketball team won the NCAA basketball championship last night.

The team got a warm welcome at Bradley Airport this afternoon.  They also received congratulations from Gov. Dannel Malloy (D-Conn.) before heading off to a pep rally on the Storrs campus.

After a slow start to the season, a decisive beatdown of the Butler Bulldogs gave the Huskies their third national championship.

More than 300 students converged on the main concourse at UConn's Stamford campus last night for a viewing party.
