STORRS - UConn's president is firing back over allegations that the school turned a blind eye to sexual assault victims.

Seven women have filed a civil right suit, alleging they were assaulted on campus and the school responded with indifference.

During a University Board of Trustees meeting this morning, Susan Herbst called the claims misguided and untrue.

Herbst outlined steps UConn has taken to become what she says is a national leader in the field of dealing with sexual harassment and assault.

However, she did acknowledge the school failed to inform one woman when her alleged attacker was allowed to return to campus, and said that process has been corrected.
