UConn men's & women's NCAA basketball championship parade set for Sunday

The state will celebrate both UConn basketball championships this Sunday. Gov. Dannel Malloy announced the plans for the victory parade.

UConn is the only Division I school to win both the men's and women's basketball championships in the same year.

HARTFORD - The state will celebrate both UConn basketball championships this Sunday.

Gov. Dannel Malloy announced the plans for the victory parade.

It will start in Hartford at 4 p.m. at the State Capitol and then circle back to the Capitol for a rally.

UConn is the only Division I school to win both the men's and women's basketball championships in the same year.  However this is not the first time. UConn also won both titles in 2004.
