UConn to raise tuition 6.5 percent

School officials say tuition costs will jump about $1,000 a year for in-state students, (6/26/14)

STORRS - UConn's board of trustees has unanimously approved a new budget and it includes a 6.5 percent tuition increase.

School officials say tuition costs will jump about $1,000 a year for in-state students. 

Out-of-state students will pay about $2,200 more per year.

The budget also includes nearly $92 million in financial aid.
