HARTFORD - New numbers show Connecticut employers added about 4,000 jobs last month.

However, the jobs didn't impact the unemployment rate which remains at 6.4 percent, higher than the national rate.

Gov. Dannel Malloy says the report is good news and says it shows Connecticut is poised to continue making progress in both the short and long term.
